Lower Zambezi

The  mighty Zambezi meanders across its immense flood plain framed on one bank by the Lower Zambezi Park and on the other by Mana Pools - a World Heritage Site. Together they form a vast wilderness of unspoilt natural beauty. Herds of elephant, some up to 100 strong, come down to drink. Island hopping buffalo and water buck are common.  On either side the bush is  home to much game and supports leopard and numerous lion prides. The Zambezi itself hosts crocodile and teems with fish and hippo.  Hear then see a fish eagle as you catch its plaintive cry.
